About Sleepy Hollow
Sleepy Hollow is a family oriented 60-acre outdoor recreational facility offering seasonal activities. We opened in 1994 with snow tubing and a lodge providing banquet facilities and a concession area. Since then we have added a driving range, a batting range for softball and baseball, an 18-hole mini-golf course, a nine-hole par three golf course, a ¼ mile Grand Prix style go-kart track, a large picnic shelter and sand volleyball courts. Our winter activities now include down hill skiing and snowboarding and we have a full rental shop. In October, Sleepy Hollow puts on Iowa’s largest Halloween production including haunted hayrack rides, four haunted houses, a haunted forest walk and storyteller.
We host a wide variety of corporate events, from holiday parties to summer picnics. We entertain church, school, Scout and a variety of other groups as well as families. We cater weddings, reunions, birthday parties and meetings in our lodge. Sleepy Hollow is always open to the public and we welcome you to come check us out.
We completed construction on our new addition, Festival Park, last summer in time for the Des Moines Renaissance Faire. Festival park is situated on newly acquired property just south of our golf course and adjacent to 4-Mile Creek. It is home to the Des Moines Renaissance Faire, The Des Moines Wild West Music Fest and Sleepy Hollow's Haunted Scream Park.
